If the Amazon disappears it would be a
catastrophe for the entire world because the climate would deteriorate further, it would increase drought, forest fires, carbon dioxide emissions, air quality would be affected, there would be less rain, less water for consumption and for agriculture and consequently less food, among other serious consequences; It would be a true world tragedy.
One way to avoid this great global calamity is for the countries of the world to agree to preserve the immense wealth of the Amazon and create an International Statute supervised by the United Nations Organization to regulate the use of the Amazon in conjunction with the governments that have jurisdiction in the area. It would therefore be about establishing norms that prevent the destruction and contamination of this unique and important heritage of humanity.
