When people hear the word poverty associates it with
underdevelopment. Many people think that poverty exists only in the countries
of the developing world. But it is not truth. There are poor but developed
countries and rich underdeveloped countries.
How is this possible?
Well, because the development is not only a material
issue of abundance of money and goods, but an attitude towards life, which
manifests itself in multiple ways such as respect for nature and the
environment, respect for others and especially towards the weakest, as women,
children and the elderly; respect for other nations, respect for peace and
rejection of violence and war.
